Signature Barbershop Academy was born from a dream — a dream that started with a young barber who didn’t know exactly where life would take him, but knew one thing for sure: he wanted more. What began with clippers in his hand turned into a passion, then a purpose, and eventually a profession. That journey grew into multiple Signature Barbershop locations across Arizona.
This Academy is the next chapter of that journey.
Signature Barbershop Academy was created to inspire and empower the next generation of barbers — students who are ready to learn a real craft, build a real future, and turn their passion into a career. Here, we don’t just teach haircuts. We teach discipline, professionalism, culture, confidence, and the mindset it takes to become an elite barber.
OUR STORY
BUILT FROM HEART, FAITH & HARD WORK
Signature Barbershop was founded in 2018 with the opening of our first location in Scottsdale, Arizona. What began as a simple dream, supported by faith, family, and relentless hard work, quickly grew into something far greater.
My wife Patricia and I opened our first shop without any prior business experience — only a deep belief in our craft, in each other, and in the vision we were determined to build. Even during moments when our bank account hit zero, we never quit. Through perseverance, faith, and commitment to excellence, Signature continued to grow.
That belief carried us through expansion, a global pandemic, and into new communities such as Chandler and Verrado. With the support of our clients and communities, Signature Barbershop became more than a place for haircuts. It became a space for confidence, opportunity, and second chances.
Along the way, we watched barbers discover their purpose, support their families, and believe in themselves again. That impact is what turned Signature into a family — and laid the foundation for what came next.

Over the years, Signature Barbershop has earned a reputation for quality, consistency, and five-star service — working with top professionals and world-class athletes, including NBA star Deandre Ayton, as well as NFL and MLB players who trusted us and became part of the Signature family.
That elite-level experience inspired the creation of Signature Barber Academy.
